Portuguese Wine Week

This summer, Los Angeles welcomes back Portuguese Wine Week for its second annual celebration, running June 7–14, 2025. The weeklong event spotlights one of the world’s most exciting and environmentally conscious wine regions, inviting Angelenos to discover the bold flavors, rich traditions, and sustainable practices behind Portugal’s winemaking renaissance.
Organized by Diniz Cellars, a woman-owned Portuguese wine importer based in California, the event will feature exclusive tastings, curated wine flights, restaurant collaborations, pop-ups, and cultural activations across LA County. The region’s best venues will pour Portugal’s finest — many of them organic, vegan, or made with minimal intervention.
“Portugal has long been a hidden gem, and it’s finally getting the attention it deserves,” says Sandra Gomes Rocha, founder of Diniz Cellars. “But what many don’t know is how committed these winemakers are to sustainability. They’re stewards of their land — working with native grapes, practicing dry farming, and using low-impact methods that preserve biodiversity and terroir.”

- Pop-up events, lifestyle moments, and curated cultural programming
- A showcase of small-production, sustainable wines from Portugal’s legendary wine regions, including Vinho Verde, Alentejo, Dão, Douro, and the Azores
Portuguese Wine Week coincides with Portuguese Heritage Month, offering both wine lovers and cultural enthusiasts a chance to celebrate with purpose.
