AUSTIN, Texas (May 31, 2023) – Texas Hill Country Wineries brought home a total of 64 medals at the 2023 TEXSOM International Wine Awards.
Over 2,300 wines were blind-tasted and judged by 42 renowned tastemakers from across the country last month, resulting in a total of 1,677 medals.
Texas wines in general performed extremely well in the competition, taking home 168 awards. 17 Texas Hill Country Wineries members won medals this year. One wine won the Judge’s Selection Medal, the highest award at the competition, for beverages demonstrating quality and unique character that are exceptional even amongst their medal-winning peers. Texas Hill Country Wineries members were awarded three Platinum Medals, five Gold, 22 Silver and 33 Bronze Medals.
