Rolling Hills, CA – May 27, 2025 — Move over, Liquid Death. There’s a new disruptor in town — and this time, it’s not water. It’s wine.

Meet Kosmic Kitty Wines, the cosmic-cool new label from Castle Rock Winery that’s rewriting the rules of wine: playful, premium, and unapologetically bold.
Liquid Death shocked the beverage world by selling over 17.5 million cases in 2023, generating $263 million in retail sales. That momentum continued into 2024, with revenue soaring to $333 million — a 27% year-over-year jump. The message is clear: bold branding and rebellion sell — even if it’s just water.
Now, Kosmic Kitty is channeling that same cultural lightning — but with serious juice behind the attitude.
Launching with four core varietals — Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon — Kosmic Kitty’s Pinot Grigio won a Gold Medal, while its Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir each earned Silver at the prestigious California State Fair Wine Competition, one of the most respected judging events in the country.
Behind the label’s psychedelic packaging and irreverent energy lies premium California wine crafted with care — all for just $12 a bottle.
Built on the same low-overhead model that made Castle Rock a national powerhouse, Kosmic Kitty delivers award-winning wines with the quality of bottles twice the price, all while staying rebellious, affordable, and wildly creative.
“Liquid Death made water cool by breaking all the rules — so we asked ourselves, why can’t wine do the same?” says Greg Popovich, founder of Castle Rock Winery and the creative force behind Kosmic Kitty. “We’re not here to play by the old-school wine playbook. We’re here to torch it — and have fun doing it.”
Behind the wine is Meghan Daniels, a Millennial winemaker bringing bold character and vibrant flavors to every bottle.
And the label? Featuring a cosmic cat, severed cartoon hands, and intergalactic chaos, it’s turning heads and ruffling traditional feathers.
“My first thought was: Who’s calling it provocative? Inevitably, it’s a wine snob Baby Boomer trying to sell $100 Napa Cabs to white-tablecloth restaurants,” Popovich adds. “And I think to myself: Good. He’s the exact opposite of the customer we’re trying to reach.”
Leading the brand’s fast-growing digital presence is Adriana Popovich, Director of Social Media, who’s building more than just buzz — she’s building a community.
“We’re not just selling wine,” she says. “We’re selling a vibe. A moment. A reason to raise a glass — and post about it.”
With momentum rising, medals stacking up, and a brand that dares to be different, Kosmic Kitty Wines could very well be the next big thing — just like Liquid Death before it.
