May 21, 2025 (Penn Yan, NY) — Fox Run Vineyards, a family-owned winery on the west side of Seneca Lake, celebrates their 35 year anniversary in 2025, a historic milestone in the Finger Lakes. What began as a small family-owned operation on the west side of Seneca Lake has evolved into a destination known for its award-winning wines, sustainable vineyard practices, and commitment to hospitality. Along the way, Fox Run has expanded its production, built a state-of-the-art winemaking facility, launched a café and tasting room experience, and cultivated a loyal following throughout the world. At the heart of it all remains a deep respect for the land and unique terroir of the Finger Lakes.
Fox Run’s first grapes were planted in 1984 by Vineyard Manager, John Kaiser and his father. These Chardonnay vines are on a short list of registered ‘Old Vines’ in the Finger Lakes and are used for Fox Run’s benchmark “Reserve Chardonnay – Kaiser Vineyard”. The vineyard has seen an incredible expansion since its inception, now boasting nearly 50 acres of vines and 7 different varieties that are showcased in Fox Run’s diverse portfolio of cool-climate wines.
Over the years Fox Run Vineyards has garnered high praise and recognition for their wines, including numerous high ratings, medals, trophies, and visits from some of the most well respected wine advocates. While these accolades have always been humbling, it has always been about the people that made it all possible.

Fox Run Vineyards is excited to host their 35 Year Anniversary Celebration on May 31st from 12-4PM. This celebration will include live music by Claudia Hoyser, Chef Brud Holland’s ‘smash burger bar’, local vendors from across the Finger Lakes, and delicious wine to bring it all together.
