A distinguished panel of wine professionals, including certified sommeliers and wine educators from the Bay Area and across the United States, evaluate each wine on complexity, balance, typicity, and fault-free characteristics.
Livermore, CA, May 9, 2025 – The Livermore Valley Wine Community (LVWC) is thrilled to announce the medal winners of the 2025 Uncorked! Wine Competition, which features the Livermore Valley’s finest wines. In total, 140 medals were awarded with Wente Family Vineyards 2021 Limited Release Cabernet Franc winning Best Red and Las Positas Vineyards 2024 Estate Albarino winning Best White.
The wines underwent a comprehensive judging process by a distinguished panel of 13 wine professionals, including certified sommeliers and wine educators from both from the Bay Area and across the United States. The judges evaluated each wine on complexity, balance, typicity, and fault-free characteristics. The medals included:

- 28 Gold
- 88 Silver

The Livermore Valley Wine Community will host a tasting event on May 31, 2025 from 5-9pm at Murrieta’s Well to celebrate the Uncorked! winners. Guests will explore and taste the winning wines among the barrels and expansive outdoor patio. For wine enthusiasts seeking deeper knowledge, an intimate, educational seminar led by Livermore Valley Wine Community will be held from 4-5pm, discussing the ins and outs of Livermore Valley’s Signature Varietals, as well as our heritage varietals.
