A New Chapter of Excellence: Kimberly Abrahams Joins Archery Summit as  Winemaker

Kimberly Takes the Helm, Shaping the Future of Archery Summit’s Pinot Noir and  Celebrating the Willamette Valley’s Dundee Hills

April 7, 2025 (Dundee Hills, OR) – Every great winery is defined by its visionaries—those who push boundaries, honor tradition, and craft wines that tell a story. Archery Summit is proud to welcome Kimberly (Kim) Abrahams as its new Winemaker, a trailblazer whose journey through the world of wine is as inspiring as the vintages she creates.

Kim’s path has been one of relentless passion, curiosity, and dedication to the craft. With a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana and a Certificate in Viticulture from Washington State University, she has honed her expertise at some of the world’s most revered wineries. From the Eola-Amity Hills to Tasmania, she has worked at prestigious wineries including Lingua Franca, Domaine Serene, Robert Sinskey Vineyards, and Delamere. This diverse, global experience has molded her into a winemaker who not only understands terroir but also elevates it to new levels of excellence.

“We are thrilled to have Kim lead our winemaking team,” said Nicolas Quillé MW, Chief Winemaking Officer of Crimson Wine Group. “She brings not only deep technical knowledge but also an innate ability to let the vineyard’s voice shine through in the glass.  Her leadership will help drive Archery Summit into an exciting future.”

Kim’s arrival is more than an addition to the team—it’s a new era for Archery Summit. A McMinnville local, entrepreneur, and community advocate, she embodies the spirit of adventure and innovation. Kim’s expertise has also made her a sought-after speaker at renowned trade shows, including the Oregon International Pinot Noir Celebration and the Oregon Wine Symposium, where she shares her insights and contributes to the broader wine community. Whether tending to her bees, exploring the intersection of food and wine, or embracing the art of storytelling through literature, she approaches life with the same passion she brings to winemaking. Her Southern Louisiana roots instill a warmth and hospitality that resonate in every bottle she crafts.

“I’ve always believed that great wine is more than what’s in the bottle—it’s about the journey, the land, and the people,” said Kim Abrahams. “Joining Archery Summit is an incredible opportunity to shape the future while honoring the story that has brought us here.  I can’t wait to embark on this next adventure.”

At home, Kim shares her life with her husband, two young sons, Ansel and Miller, and their golden retriever, Cedar. Her philosophy is one of balance, growth, and connection— principles that will guide her winemaking at Archery Summit as she builds upon its legacy of excellence.

Kim’s leadership marks an exciting new chapter, one that will see Archery Summit continue its pursuit of crafting wines that inspire, connect, and endure.

About Archery Summit Vineyards
In 1993, Archery Summit set its sights on creating wines of real purpose. The place was the  Willamette Valley, one of few spots on the planet Pinot Noir flourishes. Since, the Dundee Hills winery has helped establish the region as the cradle of cooler-climate American wine.  The winemaking team achieve bar-raising wines by way of earned instincts—the familiarity gained from many shared vintages, tending sites they know personally. Thirty years on, Archery Summit proudly considers itself the stewards of someplace truly special, with unparalleled potential.
