Fredericksburg, TX – March 18, 2025 – The Texas Wine Auction Foundation is set to host its fourth annual Texas Wine Auction on April 25-26, 2025, expanding to a two-night event that promises to be its most impactful yet. With a steadfast mission to support the Texas wine industry and fund critical community health initiatives, in partnership with Presenting Sponsor Create Healthy, this year’s event will raise funds to provide two dedicated mental health counselors in the Fredericksburg school district.

The Texas Wine Auction Weekend will kick off on Friday, April 25, with an exclusive evening at Albert Hotel in partnership with Texas Music Scene, where guests will enjoy an intimate night with Texas Music Scene featuring a live taping of music performances and stories with the artists. The excitement continues on Saturday, April 26, at Arch Ray Resort, where the main auction will take place, bringing together top wineries, collectors, and philanthropists for an evening of fine wine, exceptional experiences, and high-energy bidding—all for a great cause.
A Legacy of Giving Back
Founded in 2021, the Texas Wine Auction Foundation was inspired by the success of similar philanthropic wine organizations in Napa Valley and Oregon. Recognizing a need for a sustainable, Texas-focused model, co-founders Valerie Elkins, Dave Bryant, and Chris Brundrett established the nonprofit to elevate Texas wine while giving back to the community. Since then,
the foundation has raised and distributed hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of mental health and wellness initiatives for hospitality and vineyard workers, and sustainability initiatives for the Texas wine industry.
Through its partnership with Frontera Healthcare Network, the Texas Wine Auction Foundation launched a mental health initiative called Wellness Uncorked, which funds supervised counseling for associates and interns obtaining their license for professional counseling. This funding eliminates the financial barriers to getting more licensed practitioners in the state of Texas, while providing meaningful assistance to the community. The foundation also invested in a six-month wellness program, offering free gym access to the Create Healthy Stevens Wellness Center for hospitality employees to promote mental and physical well-being.
In 2024, the foundation expanded its reach by supporting Grafted, a women’s leadership initiative in the Texas wine industry, and a mindset coaching pilot program under the Wellness Uncorked initiative. It also made a significant donation to Texas A&M’s Department of Horticultural Sciences through the Sustainable Future for Texas Wines Program, funding research on viticulture sustainability, enology innovations, and Texas AVA development.
The 2025 Auction: Uniting Texas Wineries for a Greater Cause
One of the most anticipated elements of the Texas Wine Auction is the “Big Bottle” auction, a one-of-a-kind 15-liter Nebuchadnezzar blend crafted annually by a selection of top Texas wineries. The proceeds from this exclusive wine directly support sustainability initiatives in Texas viticulture.
For 2025, over 30 participating wineries are coming together to raise funds for mental health support in Fredericksburg, including:
- Robert Clay Vineyards
- William Chris Vineyards
- Blackmon Wines
