March 18, 2025 — GuildSomm and D.O. Cava are thrilled to announce the launch of the inaugural Great Cava Pursuit—a new, exciting competition designed to test and deepen your knowledge of Cava while offering the ultimate reward: an immersive, all-expenses-paid trip to the D.O. Cava in Spain.
Applications are now open to participate in one of four live competition and seminar events taking place across the U.S. in April. Two winners per event will earn an exclusive trip to Spain to experience Cava first-hand in November 2025.
Event Details
Each event will feature an in-depth seminar and tasting led by Master Sommelier Chris Tanghe, followed by a timed quiz that will test each candidate’s understanding of Cava and the sparkling wine category. Dates and cities are as follows. Events will take place 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. local time, with winners announced at the conclusion of each event.
