March 18, 2025 (Meursault) — On Sunday, March 16, the second Baghera/wines auction on French soil took place in Meursault, France. Titled Domaine François Gaunoux – Climats de famille, the auction marked a memorable moment of collaboration with Domaine François Gaunoux and a true connection among wine enthusiasts. Over three days, Domaine Gaunoux and Baghera/wines offered a bespoke and exclusive experience, providing a unique welcome in every detail. Guests spoke of a warm and rarely matched experience. With 100% of the lots finding buyers, the auction was a remarkable event, highlighted by a significant surge in the prices of old Pommard vintages.

Arriving from all corners of the globe, but mainly from Asia, the guests were able to enjoy an exceptional weekend, focused on sharing and discovering outstanding wines. The auction concluded with a peak of remarkable results, particularly thanks to the Pommard wines, some of which reached the highest prices ever recorded in history. A historic moment for Domaine François Gaunoux, but also for Baghera/wines.
A very authentic auction room, warmed by a magnificent fireplace, welcomed an audience of connoisseurs and passionate collectors ready to compete. The atmosphere, both friendly and serious, brought together attentive buyers determined to fight for the approximately 110 lots offered in the auction. The strong participation in this event demonstrated the growing appeal and enthusiasm for wines from exceptional estates. True Burgundy gems, these wines continue to captivate connoisseurs.
Following this success, Baghera/wines announces its intention to focus more intensively on this type of specialized auction in the months and years to come.
