Parable Wines Defies Industry Downturn, Moves Forward with Winery & Tasting Room

March 6, 2025 (Calistoga, CA) — While headlines highlight closures in the wine industry, Parable Wines is taking
a different path—moving forward with bold expansion plans.

With Napa County’s recent approval, Parable Wines is set to break ground on its 8,900-square-foot winery and 1,450-square-foot tasting room at 4300 Silverado Trail, just south of Calistoga. The Eppright family, who founded Parable in 2021, will soon begin development on their 10.3- acre estate, which was formerly home to Dutch Henry Winery—a property that lost its winemaking facility and tasting room in the 2020 Glass Fire.

Despite industry challenges, Parable’s new permit allows for the production of 12,000 cases annually. The estate also features a 4,500-square-foot cave, with 600 square feet dedicated to an additional hospitality center. “We’re in this for the long haul. And we’re leaning in,” said Brian Kelleher, Parable’s general manager. “This will make Calistoga even stronger.” Kelleher notes that several high-end wineries nearby are expanding, signaling confidence in Napa’s future.

Trey Eppright, managing partner of Parable Wines, added: “Even though the market is contracting, we see opportunity. We’re committed to long-term success and are already well on our way.”

Construction is expected to begin within six months, with a projected completion by late 2027.
