Wine tasting festival to showcase the beauty and diversity of Sauvignon Blanc grown and produced in Oregon.
March 3, 2025 (Dayton, OR) — Durant, home to the Durant Vineyards Winery and Oregon’s only commercial olive mill, will host its third annual Sauvage: An Exploration of Oregon Sauvignon Blanc event on Saturday, April 12, 2025. The sauvignon blanc-focused festival has been expanded this year to feature a walk-around tasting of 18 Oregon wineries across the beautiful hilltop property at Red Ridge Farms. The festival celebrates Oregon’s emerging reputation as a premier producer of distinctive, high-quality sauvignon blanc. Sauvage is a precursor to the statewide celebrations for Oregon Wine Month, which takes place throughout the month of May.

This year’s event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering attendees the opportunity to taste and shop limited release wines while engaging with winemakers from all participating wineries. Sauvage is the quintessential wine tasting experience that will feature spectacular wines, fresh grilled oysters and Mediterranean fare available for purchase, along with live music among the olive groves, lavender fields and gardens of Durant at Red Ridge Farms. Each attendee will receive varietal-specific glassware designed to enhance the characteristics of sauvignon blanc.
“Oregon’s diverse growing regions and microclimates create a perfect canvas for sauvignon blanc wines that are truly unique to our region,” said Durant owner, Paul Durant. “Since grafting our first sauvignon blanc vines in 2016, we’ve been captivated by the varietal’s potential here in the Dundee Hills. We’re thrilled to see the growing enthusiasm from both winemakers and consumers, which has enabled us to expand Sauvage to include 18 wineries this year. We’re excited for guests to discover the unique personalities behind each producer, who are as approachable as their wines, in an atmosphere where wine lovers and makers unite to share their love for this up-and-coming varietal.”
