Nashville, TN – (February 5, 2024) — Aperture, the renowned winery in Sonoma County producing world-class Bordeaux varietals in California, announced a new key partnership with Lipman Brothers Distributors in Nashville and the surrounding areas. Effective February 1st, Lipman will be the sole and exclusive distributor for Aperture and Devil Proof wines in the region.

Founded by first-generation winemaker Jesse Katz in 2009 and crafted from over 200 acres of unique, cool-climate vineyards in Sonoma’s top regions, Aperture has quickly identified itself as an elite wine label and world-class player boasting powerful, rich fruit characteristics with elegance and freshness. Cabernet Sauvignon is the signature wine of Aperture. The portfolio also includes a Red Bordeaux Blend, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons. Aperture is the only Cabernet Sauvignon in the history of the Alexander Valley region to ever have received a perfect score.
Devil Proof, Aperture’s sister brand, is a cult wine label also created by Jesse Katz, and was inspired by his time spent in Argentina growing and crafting world-class Malbec. Devil Proof revolves around single vineyard dry-farmed expressions of Malbec, from Alexander Valley’s Farrow Ranch, and from Rockpile Ridge vineyard in the Rockpile AVA. Devil Proof holds the esteemed position as the highest-rated California Malbec by all of the top wine critics, and the only Malbec to receive numerous 100 point scores.
Established in 1939, Lipman Brothers was the first distributor of wine and spirits in Tennessee and has been an essential part of Nashville for more than 80 years. Dedicated to sourcing, distributing, and marketing the world’s finest wines and spirits, Lipman Brothers’ portfolio continues to grow with the addition of Aperture, now including more than 100 brands under its umbrella, each one unique and each one prominent in its region of production.
“We are thrilled to partner with Lipman Brothers, a company with a rich history and deep expertise in fine wine distribution.
