Moves Made to Enhance Brand Reach in Independent On- and Off-Premise Accounts
Dundee Hills, Ore.– Aug. 1, 2024 – Sokol Blosser Winery, a pioneering family-owned and -operated winery, is making mid-year distribution moves in several key markets to strengthen brand availability at independent on- and off-premise accounts. Effective Aug. 1, Sokol Blosser and Evolution wines will be represented in Florida and Texas by Maverick Beverage Company, in Oregon and Washington by Galaxy Wine Company, and in Oklahoma by Armada Distribution.
Key criteria in Sokol Blosser’s search for new partners included having a good understanding of Willamette Valley wines and experience representing independent, family-owned wineries.
“We feel great about these moves,” said Sokol Blosser President Alex Sokol Blosser. “These are high-priority markets for us, and we have great confidence that each of these three distributors will represent our 50-plus year-old brand with enthusiasm and excitement and skill. They have the drive and the relationships to broaden availability of our wines in the independent on- and off-premise accounts while having the reach to service larger chain accounts.”
Earlier this year, Sokol Blosser shifted its brands in New York and New Jersey to Banville Merchants while remaining with Fedway in New Jersey (where multiple distributor relationships are permitted). “That change has worked out great for us in the last six months,” adds Sokol Blosser. “The Banville team has created new momentum for our brands in both markets, which is exactly what we were seeking.”
In addition, Sokol Blosser has streamlined its sales team to better support the brand. Vice President of Sales Barron Beltz oversees Sokol Blosser’s global sales, with Shannon Eastman becoming Director of Sales for the West, and Sara Manucy continuing as Director of Sales for the East. Emily Zegar is now based in France, serving as Export Broker for Sokol Blosser’s growing international accounts.
