(June 24, 2024; ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.)—JP Clement, CEO and general manager of VARA Winery & Distillery, an urban winery and craft distillery based in Albuquerque, NM, is excited to announce that on June 29, VARA will be one of the sponsors of New Mexico United’s annual drag show and game watch party at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Albuquerque in celebration of Pride Month.
Admission to the New Mexico United annual pride drag show and viewing party is $10/person. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. New Mexico United kicks off against San Antonio FC at 7 p.m. There will be a halftime drag show and additional performances before and after the game. The event takes place at the Albuquerque DoubleTree, located at 201 Marquette Ave NW.

VARA officially became a back-of-jersey sponsor for New Mexico United for the 2024 season and, as part of the new sponsorship, has launched two limited-release spirits bottlings: the Somos Unidos Gin and Somos Unidos Rum. One dollar from each spirit purchase benefits New Mexico United’s Somos Unidos Foundation, the team’s organization dedicated to creating positive outcomes for New Mexicans through art, sport, community, and unity. The Somos Unidos Gin and Rum will both be available to sample and in specialty cocktails at the event as guests watch the soccer game and drag performances.
