New Wine Bar and Retail Shop Accommodates Growing Numbers of Visitors
Dundee Hills, Ore. – May 21, 2024 – Sokol Blosser Winery, a pioneering family-owned and -operated winery, is now welcoming visitors to its new Wine Bar, a 613-square foot bar and retail area created to accommodate a growing number of visitors.
The Wine Bar, located on the lower level of the Sokol Blosser tasting room features a 20-foot-long wine bar serving wines by-the-glass, and retail area where visitors can browse Sokol Blosser’s portfolio of still and sparkling wines.
With visitor traffic up 13% in 2023 over 2022, Sokol Blosser created the space to welcome walk-in visitors as well as guests with reservations who want to stay and enjoy a glass of wine after a scheduled tasting.
“We get about 1,000 people a month who visit without a reservation and we don’t want to turn anyone away,” says Sokol Blosser President Alex Sokol Blosser. “This beautiful new space offers guests the opportunity to taste a wide variety of our wines, including library vintages, and also buy bottles to take home.”
Until now, walk-in guests were invited to purchase a glass of wine to enjoy on the patio in nice weather, but Sokol Blosser wanted a dedicated space to accommodate more people who want to enjoy a glass or two of wine with friends and browse bottles to take home. The Wine Bar is an ideal way to accommodate guests of all types.
In addition to a wide array of wines by the glass, The Wine Bar also will serve freshly prepared charcuterie and cheese boards, caviar with crème fraiche and potato chips, a hummus plate, popcorn, olives and more. In addition to wines, guests can enjoy non-alcoholic beverages as well as cocktails made with Sokol Blosser’s new Aperitifs.
The Wine Bar is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday (hours may expand during the summer). Sokol Blosser has a full summer schedule of on-site concerts, dining experiences and other events. The outdoor pizza kitchen will open on Saturday, May 25, serving up hot, fresh pizza every weekend throughout summer. On July 13, Sokol Blosser hosts its Summer Bash, an all-day event featuring Sokol Blosser wines, and beers and spirits from local distillers and brewers, as well as merchandise from local makers, food from local vendors, live music and more.
