Richmond, VA – January 23, 2023 – Winebow, a leading national importer and distributor of fine wine and spirits, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jo Moak as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. In her new role, Moak will oversee all legal and regulatory matters at Winebow, including business agreements, state and federal compliance, and corporate concerns.
Moak brings over 20 years of legal expertise and industry experience to the team. Most recently, she was the EVP & General Counsel for Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA), where she managed internal corporate legal matters, advised on legal and regulatory issues facing wholesalers at both the state and federal levels, was the point person for special projects, and managed the WSWA Educational Foundation.
Before her many years with WSWA, Moak was an associate with Hogan Lovells LLC (Washington, D.C.) and Darby & Darby P.C. (New York), where she worked on litigating various intellectual property disputes, including cases regarding trademark, patent, and copyright infringement; unfair competition; and defamation. Additionally, she had experience in various transactional matters, including drafting and negotiating contracts for the commercialization of intellectual property and technology.
Based in Richmond, Virginia, Moak will report to Michael Manzo, Senior Vice President of Finance & Strategy, Winebow.
