WOODINVILLE, Wash. (May 17, 2021) – Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, the largest winery in the Pacific Northwest and the third-largest premium winery in the U.S., has appointed Derek VanTine as Vice President, East Region, effective May 17.
In this role VanTine will lead the company’s sales organization in Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.
VanTine will headquarter out of Baltimore, Maryland.
VanTine joins Ste. Michelle from Asahi International, where he was U.S. Managing Director leading day-to-day operations for the Asahi portfolio of beer brands in the United States. He began his career with Heineken USA, holding several positions in operations planning, sales, and commercial and field marketing.
VanTine will report to Dan Heller, Executive Vice President of Sales for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates.
