At this year’s Critics Challenge International Wine Competition, held in San Diego, California, Reustle – Prayer Rock Vineyards continued to win high praise across the spectrum of wine.
Leading the way with a 93 Point Rating and a Gold Medal were Reustle – Prayer Rock Vineyard’s 2018 Gruner Veltliner Green Lizard and 2017 Syrah – Winemaker’s Reserve. Following close behind with a 91 Point Rating and a Gold Medal was Reustle – Prayer Rock Vineyard’s 2018 Grenache. In addition, Reustle – Prayer Rock Vineyards was also awarded two Silver Medals for their 2017 Tempranillo – Winemaker’s Reserve and 2017 Malbec.
Now in its 17th year the Critics Challenge International Wine Competition is recognized as one of the most important and respected wine competitions in the world.
Owner/Winemaker, Stephen M. Reustle was quite pleased when he received the news, and commented, “I was quite excited to see how well our wines showed…against some very stiff competition.” He continued, “We make wines we love to drink and receiving validation like this lets me know that we are on the right track. Crafting food-friendly wines with just the right balance of each component is tricky, but the reward is worth the work.”
