San Diego, CA (December 17, 2019)Marina Kitchen, located inside the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, announces the DAOU Family Estates Wine Dinner to be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Held in Marina Kitchen’s private dining room, the dinner features esteemed Master Sommelier Fred Dame and wines from DAOU Vineyards. The first American to have served as President of the Court of Master Sommeliers Worldwide, Dame brings his remarkable experience and expertise to Marina Kitchen’s celebrated Cellar Dinner Series.

Marina Kitchen is honored to partner with Fred Dame and DAOU Family Estates on the first event in the 2020 Cellar Dinner Series. For its first installment in the series, Executive Chef Aron Schwartz prepares a five-course menu featuring seasonal entrees including braised short rib with kabocha, lobster with wagyu, cranberry beans and poblano butter, and seared Maine diver scallops with parsnip puree, caviar, and truffle jus. Additionally, Master Sommelier Fred Dame pours a selection of DAOU’s highly praised wines, including their 2018 Chardonnay, 2018 Pinot Noir, 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2016 DAOU Estate “Soul of a Lion.”

DAOU wines have received accolades from a range of premier wine industry publications and critics, including Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, and James Suckling.
