San Fernando Valley residents spoke and LAWineFest organizers listened, adding a one-day soiree to its lineup one-day only, Saturday February 15, offering an exploration of taste and a chance to support the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club
EAST VALLEY, CALIF. – Embarking on its 15th year, with more than 20 events under their belt, LAWineFest organizers are proud to announce the inaugural LAWineFest at East Valley, happening Feb. 15 at the Glendale Civic Auditorium. Set your calendars and prepare for all-things-wine, with early bird pricing on tickets for the exclusive one-day event available now.
LAWineFest founder and Glendale resident, Dr. Joel M. Fisher, wine expert and educator, is excited to bring LAWineFest to his backyard, set to deliver the unique tasting opportunity in a relaxed, fun setting at the historic Glendale Auditorium. This new event will be more intimate, promising a special chance for ticket holders to mix and mingle with winemakers, sommeliers and craft brewmasters, while tasting award-winning wines and beers from around the globe at the beautifully appointed venue. There will be a chance for some shopping with an array of luxury goodies throughout, as well as live entertainment, and more.
For the last 15 years, Fisher and his team donate a portion of each event’s proceeds to a worthy non-profit organization, and LAWineFest at East Valley is no exception, this time naming the Los Angeles Boys and Girls Club as the charitable partner. The Los Angeles Boys and Girls Club provides after school programs to youth, ages 5 to 17, including academic, athletic, and arts programs, as well as character and leadership training and full day summer and vacation programs.
“I’m proud to partner with the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club, which has transformed the lives of thousands of children for more than 70 years,” Fisher said. “We hope to help them continue this mission and their legacy, as its more important than ever to provide a safe place for children, our future.”
Admission to LAWineFest includes a souvenir wine cup, unlimited wine and craft brew tastings, bottled water and coffee. WIneFest hours are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. one day only, Saturday, Feb. 15. Tickets at the gate will be $85 for General Admission and $110 for the extremely limited All Access Passes, which also includes admission to the Boutique Wineries section with over a dozen offering tastes from limited production vintners. Designated drivers are encouraged, and get to enjoy all the amenities of the day for only $20 (does not include any alcohol tastings). Public transportation is also highly encouraged.
