At this year’s WinePress NW’s “Best of the Best” Invitational Platinum Judging Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards continues its tradition of award-winning wines. Winning four Platinum Medals (two of them double platinum) moves Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards securely into 4th place an the all-time leader board. Only competing since 2009, Reustle has only half the years of competition under its belt than some of the leaders, but is only four medals out of third position.
Bringing home the Platinum medals for Reustle were their 2015 Gruner Veltliner (Double Platinum), 2016 Viognier (Double Platinum, 2014 Gruner Veltliner Reserve, and 2015 Tempranillo Reserve. Reustle also marked the competition with 14 Double Gold or Gold Medal wines for each of the other wines that received an invitation to the competition.
Bringing Home Double Gold Medals were Reustle’s 2016 Riesling, 2016 Gruner Veltliner, 2015 Pinot Noir, 2016 Pinot Noir, 2015 Pinot Noir Reserve, 2016 Syrah Reserve, 2016 Malbec, 2015 Merlot , and 2014 Rojo Dulce. Also showing well with Gold Medals were Reustle’s 2016 Matrix, 2015 Syrah. 2016 Syrah, and 2016 Syrah Reserve. In total Reustle returned with 18 Medals from this year’s competition.
Obviously pleased with the results, Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards Owner/Winemaker Stephen M. Reustle commented, “I am very excited and pleased that our wines showed so well.
