William Chris Wine Company to Donate Portion of Sales to Feeding Texas

Purchases of Sway Rosé, the first Texas-made canned rosé, will benefit statewide nonprofit all summer long

AUSTIN, TX (May 28, 2024) — William Chris Wine Company is excited to share the news that half of the proceeds of all sales of Sway Rosé will be donated to Feeding Texas in support of their End Summer Hunger program all summer long. The donation applies to website sales and tasting room sales.

William Chris Wine Company has been dedicated to supporting their local community since their inception. The brand is excited to once again provide support to Feeding Texas, which is the largest hunger relief organization in the state. Together with 21 member food banks, they reach over 5 million Texans annually with food and resources and engage the state in the fight against hunger.

“Feeding Texas is thrilled to partner with William Chris Wine Company to support our efforts to ensure Texas children have access to food over the summer and year-round. Hunger never takes a vacation, but the loss of school meals during the summer is especially challenging for families already facing financial hardships. This increase in need further strains our food banks, which are already overextended. This generous support from William Chris Wine Company will go a long way to keeping Texas kids fed this summer,” said CEO of Feeding Texas Celia Cole.

From now until Labor Day, 50% of sales of Sway Rosé will support the End Summer Hunger campaign. Sway Rosé by Yes, We Can Wine is the first Texas-grown canned rosé using 100% Texas High Plains grapes. This medium-bodied, bone-dry wine is the perfect summertime hangout accompaniment.

“We’re proud to support Feeding Texas once again with this special partnership”, said Chris Brundrett, William Chris Wine Company co-founder and winemaker. “Our fans love to show up for our charitable programs, and we’re excited to give them the opportunity to stock up on Sway Rosé for the summer AND do some good at the same time for our community here in Texas.”

In 2020, William Chris Vineyards released Wanderer Series Relief Project, a vintage aimed at providing Texas restaurant and hospitality communities with support as they were critically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The company also supported Feeding Texas in 2021 and José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen in 2022.
