ROHNERT PARK, CA. (May 1, 2024) – Sonoma State University’s (SSU) Wine Business Institute (WBI) announces its summer 2024 offerings of wine business certificates and courses. Designed to foster success in the dynamic wine industry, these programs offer comprehensive insights into various facets of wine business, including marketing, sales, finance, and production.
Courses are accessible online globally, taught by industry experts, and include hands-on learning and networking opportunities. They can be taken individually or towards certificate completion.
Wine Business Management Certificate: ‘DTC Marketing & eCommerce for the Wine Industry’ (May 21-July 16, ’24), taught by Ben Kraemer, dives into Direct-to-Consumer marketing, eCommerce, and digital channels to promote wine sales and customer loyalty.
Wine Business Management Certificate: ‘Foundation in Wine Business Management’ (June 13-July 11, ’24), led by winemaker Mike Kush, explores fundamentals of grape growing, winemaking, marketing, distribution, and legal aspects of the wine industry.
Wine Industry Finance & Accounting Certificate: ‘Financial Management and Strategy’ (June 26-Aug 21, ’24), instructed by Jared Dalton, provides an overview of financial structures, planning, and analysis techniques crucial for wine business success.
Wine Business Management Certificate: ‘Strategic Wine Club Management’ (July 11- Aug 8, ’24), again with Ben Kraemer, offers strategies for wine club design, execution, and growth.
Wine Business Workshops: ‘Winery Compliance’ (July 26, ‘24, 8 am- 4 pm in person) led by Alicia Cronbach who will guide participants through the essentials of Trade Practice Compliance.
