The Hill Country Wine Academy Adds Core Short Courses to Class Schedule

Popular wine school adds five core courses to program that will complement existing certification courses

April 30th – The Hill Country Wine Academy, established by William Chris Wine Company (WCWC), is excited to announce it has added five new short-form courses to its 2024 class schedule. The new core courses will complement the existing certification courses to serve as a lighter educational commitment for someone who cannot fit a day-long class into their schedule, or who wants to continue working through core wine topics. The school, which launched in April 2023 as the William Chris Wine School, is a provider of WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) and Texas Wine Ambassador Certification courses.

The new courses kicked off Saturday, April 20 and will cover five key concepts to understand wine and build a strong foundation, in 90 to 120 minute increments. The courses are: Wine & Bites Workshop, Hold or Fold ‘Em (about determining age ability), Local to Global Tasting Workshop (a Texas-versus-other-regions tasting and discussion), Vino Vernacular (wine vocabulary), and Harvest Insider (viticulture and vinification). Initial class options can be found on their website and additional winter dates will be added soon. Course participants will receive a punch card after their first class and will receive their fifth short-form course free. Private classes can also be requested.
