(April 30, 2024 – Sonoma, Calif) – Patz & Hall, the newly independent producer of some of California’s most sought-after Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, announced three key leadership appointments after recently becoming family-owned once again.
“We want to hit the ground running in this next chapter of the winery, and that starts with hiring the best people,” said Founder & Owner James Hall, who recently led the repurchase of the winery from Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. “I am excited to add Liz, Aggie and Gus’s energy, talent, and experience to our leadership team. They have a singular focus: making sure the passion we have for our wines is shared and experienced by people around the world.”
Elizabeth Harrell is Patz & Hall’s new President and Chief Financial Officer. Elizabeth is an experienced financial and business leader. She holds her MBA from Stanford and has worked for over a decade at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, Jackson Family Wines, and E. & J. Gallo Winery. In this newly created position, Elizabeth will be responsible for leading the company and helping ensure that the winemakers have everything they need to continue making exceptional, high-quality wines.
Elizabeth has deep roots in Sonoma County as a member of a sixth-generation agricultural family that currently grows grapes.
Joining the team as Senior Vice President, Global Sales is longtime industry leader Aggie Bek. Aggie has more than two decades of experience in the wine industry, most recently leading the Luxury Wine Portfolio at E. & J. Gallo Winery. In her new role, she will lead the global sales team and focus on building strong relationships to grow Patz & Hall’s presence in independent fine wine restaurants and merchants.
Gus Slagle joins Patz & Hall as Vice President, Marketing & DTC. In this role, Gus will focus on communicating Patz & Hall’s values as a newly independent winery and helping share the Patz & Hall story. A former Marine officer and Afghanistan veteran, he most recently was Director of Marketing at Hamel Family Wines and has held marketing roles at leading consumer companies.
