Efforts Aim to Support Increased Premium Victorian Wine Sales in The United States
October 9th – Starting in October 2023, Tim McDonald of Wine & Spirits Spoken Here and Robert Larsen, owner of The Larsen Projekt, will work to build trade and media awareness of Victorian wines in the US. Wine Victoria announced its plan to implement a $2.2 million US market development strategy in 2022, and this step follows an appointment of Australian-based program manager and a US-based business development manager, rounding out the roster.
The two industry veterans will close the loop of communications by reaching specialized parts of the trade, such as sommeliers, key wine media and influencers, and ultimately consumers. In addition to steady media outreach, they will support on-going initiatives with Vinous Magazine, Tasting Panel Magazine, and The Somm Journal, and support developing programs such as Victorian Wine Days, where wine masterclasses and trade and consumer tastings will educate and entertain a broad spectrum of wine enthusiasts.
