Iconic Family-Owned Napa Winery Announces Newly Formed Leadership Position
(Napa, Calif.)— July 11, 2023—Trefethen Family Vineyards, one of Napa’s pioneering family-owned estate wineries, today announced the promotion of Vanessa Shimer to Executive Vice President.
Shimer joined Trefethen in 2021 as Vice President of Human Resources. In her newly expanded role, she will be more involved in business operations, working closely with the winery’s CEO Jon Ruel and the Trefethen family, as she provides increased support and direction across the company. In addition to her new responsibilities, she will continue to oversee all aspects of Human Resources for their team of over 150 employees.

Prior to joining Trefethen, Shimer held leadership positions in Human Resources at Auberge Resorts, Constellation Brands, and Carneros Resort and Spa. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Sonoma State University with a concentration in Human Resources.
