Franciacorta Hosts Seminar in 25th Annual Nantucket Food & Wine Festival

(May 22, 2023) Nantucket, MA – The Consorzio Franciacorta hosted its first-ever seminar in conjunction  with the Nantucket Wine & Food Festival on Friday, May 18, 2023 for festival attendees and the local  trade and residents of Nantucket titled “Italian Aperitivo the Franciacorta Way”.

The seminar, hosted by May Matta-Aliah, DWS, Franciacorta’s Brand Ambassador, presented an overview  of the region through seven wines alongside aperitivo pairings from the esteemed Cesare Casella.  Attendees left smiling, laughing, and with a stronger understanding of Franciacorta.

In the following days, Franciacorta participated in the Grand Tasting showcasing an additional eight  wines.

“I had no idea about Franciacorta, but now I will seek it out everywhere,” said one attendee, “the focus  on sustainability, the connection to the ‘good’ life…. not to mention the taste! I could drink this every  day.”

President Silvano Brescianini commended the festival stating, “The Nantucket Food & Wine Festival  brings a high echelon of wine consumer to the island and that is exactly who we are looking to target.  We knew the wines of Franciacorta would be well-received by this target group and we are pleased with  the results.”

Franciacorta is already available at many restaurants and stores across the island and readily available for  purchase.

“We look forward to being a part of this festival for years to come,” continued Brescianini, “we extend a  huge ‘thank you’ to the festival for being a part of it and congratulations on 25 successful years.”
