(November 16, 2022 – San Francisco, CA) Celebrating National Zinfandel Day on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, Zinfandel Advocates & Producers (ZAP) announces it will again host Zinfandel Experience, often referred to as ZinEX, in San Francisco, CA, January 26 – 28, 2023. The event will be held primarily at The Palace Hotel & One Market Restaurant and Pavilion with opening night dinners held at 25 Lusk and Scoma’s.
Once again, people passionate about Zinfandel can get up close to winery owners, along with growers and makers of California’s most storied winegrape. “I believe that ‘consumer curiosity’ about the winemaking process is at an all-time high,” comments Armida Winery winemaker and ZAP President, Brandon Lapides. “ZinEX offers consumers the opportunity to have casual and friendly interactions with winemakers and proprietors. If someone has a question about growing, making, or aging Zinfandel, there are over 70 different Zinfandel winemakers at the ZinEX Grand Tasting that will be excited to share their answers.”
Indeed, all three days offer unique opportunities to experience Zinfandel alongside impassioned enthusiasts. Dine at one of two renowned San Francisco restaurants and enjoy a luxurious multi-course dinner paired with Zinfandel. Taste flights of Zinfandel in a deep-dive seminar setting featuring top sommeliers from around the Bay Area and led by Joel Peterson of Once & Future Wines (founder of Ravenswood Winery). Bid on rare auction items including unique Zinfandel bottlings and outrageous, once in a lifetime experiences at the “Red Carpet Gala” Winemaker’s Dinner and Auction. Stroll through isles of food provided by top Northern California restaurants and chefs amid Zinfandel offerings as far as the eye can see at Saturday’s Grand Tasting at One Market Restaurant and Pavilion.
