Serial Wines, a part of the John Anthony Family of Wines portfolio, offers exceptional quality wines from the diverse Paso Robles region
Paso Robles, CA (March 15, 2022) – John Anthony Family of Wines announces the opening of the Serial Wines Tasting Lounge in downtown Paso Robles’ historic Odd Fellow Building. A destination for high-quality wines representative of Paso Robles’ diverse terroir, the Tasting Lounge will bring together the region’s best growers and the John Anthony Family of Wines’ passion and expertise for an experience unlike any other available in the area.
“The opening of the Serial Wines Tasting Lounge is the culmination of years of winemaking experience, our longtime relationships with the best growers in the area, and our winemaking team’s roots in and knowledge of the Paso Robles region,” said John Anthony Truchard, Founder and CEO of John Anthony Family of Wines. “Having produced wines under the Serial label for more than five years, we’re thrilled to finally bring the unique Serial Wines experience to guests in person in downtown Paso Robles, an area that is experiencing a rapid and exciting revitalization.”
Inspired by the diverse Paso Robles growing region and its potential to produce exceptional quality wines, Truchard first conceived of Serial Wines in 2015 in partnership with Executive Winemaker Jeff Kandarian, a Paso Robles native with a deep understanding of terroir of the area. Serial Wines debuted its first wine, a Serial Red Blend in 2015. Sourcing from meticulously-farmed estates, Serial showcases rich and opulent varietal-specific wines, nuanced blends, AVA designates, and single-vineyard releases from throughout the region, ranging from the San Miguel AVA to the Santa Lucia Highlands. Until now, Serial has only been available for purchase online. Serial Wines is part of the John Anthony Family of Wines portfolio, which also includes John Anthony Vineyards, JaM Cellars, and Weather Wines.
The Serial Wines Tasting Lounge will feature two distinct tasting options priced at $30 and $45 each. The first tasting highlights the Paso Robles AVA and features five wines including a 2020 Serial Paso Robles Rosé, a 2017 Serial Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon, and a 2018 Serial Highlands District Red Blend. The second tasting highlights Paso Robles districts and single vineyards, and features six wines including a 2020 Serial Adelaida District Grenache Blanc, a 2019 Serial Willow Creek District Syrah, and a 2019 Serial Adelaida District Cabernet Sauvignon. The tasting lounge will also offer wines by the bottle and the glass, and a charcuterie and cheese plate to pair with tastings.
The Tasting Lounge was designed by acclaimed craftsman Richard Von Saal, who has designed notable wine country destinations including JaM Cellars in downtown Napa, the Prisoner Wine Company in St. Helena, and Ghost Block Estate in Oakville. The 2400 square foot space seats 65, offers a private tasting room for special events, and features reclaimed materials, industrial finishes, and prints of the original artwork that adorns many Serial bottles.
The Serial Tasting Lounge is located at 1226 Park Street, Paso Robles, CA 93446.
