Veuve du Vernay Launches Sparkling Brut Organic

New Addition From Top French Sparkling Wine Brand Timed for Earth Day

Miami, FL (April 6, 2021) – Veuve du Vernay, the #1 French sparkling wine brand under $20 in the U.S. announces the launch of its Sparkling Brut Organic in the U.S. market.  The wine will be available nationally in select retail stores with a suggested retail price of $18.99.

Made as a Blanc de Blancs vinified with the Charmat Method, the Sparkling Brut Organic was created using organic and sustainable agricultural practices. It is certified organic with the NOP3 designation from France, a certification recognized in the U.S. Growing consumer awareness in organic and sustainable wines compelled Veuve du Vernay to add the Brut Organic to their offering and showcase their unique take on the style. A commitment to more sustainable production is echoed in the wine’s packaging as the label is made from recycled paper and the writing is done with organic ink.

“The Veuve du Vernay Sparkling Brut Organic was an essential addition to our portfolio as it enhances our mission to be a forward-thinking brand with a younger wine drinking demographic focused on the future,” said Carlos Varela, CEO of BGPL USA. “Being a top sparkling wine brand in the U.S., we believe it is necessary to offer exciting new products that speak to what is valuable to our customers.”

Veuve du Vernay was awarded the IMPACT Hot Prospect Brand Award for Imported Wines from 2017-2019. It is well-known for its Sparkling Ice, Brut and Brut Rosé. The range is widely distributed in the US.

About Veuve du Vernay

Veuve du Vernay is the leading French sparkling wine brand under $20 in the United States, channeling classic Parisian lifestyle and joie de vivre. It was founded in the 1960s by Robert Charmat, the son of scientist, Eugene Charmat who patented the Charmat Method of producing sparkling wines. Robert Charmat employed this method of trapping the carbonation from secondary fermentation to make his own sparkling wines full of fresh aromas and flavors. Robert named his wines for a widow in Vernay who helped his father during his early winemaking days. Veuve in French means widow. Veuve du Vernay is produced by Patriarche. Founded in 1780 in Beaune, the heart of Burgundy, Patriarche is a leading wine producer in France with two areas of focus: Burgundy appellation wines and fine sparkling wines.
