TRIBUTE Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc On Shelves Now, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Slated for Early 2021
Glen Ellen, Calif. – Aug. 26, 2020 – Chris Benziger announced today the retail expansion of TRIBUTE, a wine brand now available in accounts nationwide that commemorates the family’s history and shared experiences as vintners. The TRIBUTE brand launched in select accounts with a Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc and will expand in early 2021 to include a Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of three California growing regions with grapes from Certified Sustainable vineyards in San Benito County, Paso Robles and San Lucas. The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc comes from Certified Sustainable vineyards in San Lucas in Monterey County, while the 2018 Chardonnay and 2018 Pinot Noir are also sourced from Certified Sustainable vineyards in Monterey County.
The TRIBUTE brand is spearheaded by Chris Benziger, the youngest of the seven Benziger siblings and Vice President of Trade Relations at Benziger Family Winery. He explains, “over the past years, as my brothers retire and move on to personal projects, I’ve had the opportunity to reflect on our path and the rare opportunity we had to create something together. With TRIBUTE, we are celebrating all the great moments in our family, which were often the little ones.” Benziger goes on to say “There have been times when no one on earth is as exasperating as one of my siblings, but many more times when I couldn’t imagine this ride without them. This wine honors those bonds.”
More than forty years ago, the Benziger family moved from Upstate New York to Northern California, using grit and strength to realize their vision for the Sonoma Mountain winery. TRIBUTE wines are bottled in a proprietary mold adorned with a unique crest that was created to commemorate the family’s 40 years of winemaking history. The wines in the TRIBUTE portfolio have a suggested retail price of $20 and will be available at select retail and restaurant accounts nationwide.
