New Culinary Experiences and Pairing Options Available By Appointment Only
Sonoma, CA, June 3, 2020 – Anaba Wines, based in Sonoma’s Carneros region, will reopen to guests on Friday, June 5 for reservation-only seated outdoor wine tasting experiences with paired lunch options curated from local Sonoma eateries. Every guest will be immersed in the Anaba experience, exploring the distinctive wines, learning about the vineyards, and even connecting with the founding Sweazey family.
Onsite at the winery, each all-inclusive tasting experience features a flight of four Anaba wines and lunch. Upon arrival, guests will receive a splash of the 2019 Rosé of Grenache from the Sonoma Coast, before being seated. With wines offered family-style in carafes, guests will enjoy an individualized, self-contained tasting experience. Afterwards, guests will be served a delicious lunch paired with a glass of their favorite taste. For wine club members, there will be additional special selections to sample during the seated experience.
“We’ve partnered with two Sonoma-based eateries: one a long-standing community staple and one new to the scene,” said John Michael Sweazey, second generation proprietor. “We are thrilled to work with Girl & the Fig and Kivelstadt Cellars Wine Garden and Eatery to enhance our guests’ tasting experiences with food options curated to pair with Anaba Wines.”
To ensure everyone’s health and safety, Anaba staff will be required to wear face masks and gloves while on site, and the team will follow all California state-issued guidelines. In addition, guests must wear face masks when not seated at a table to enjoy their tasting and lunch. For guests not able to join for a seated tasting, Anaba will continue offering curbside pickup by reservation-only.
During the initial phases of shelter in place, Anaba went online to continue their storytelling, hosting a weekly virtual tasting series, Anaba Fridays, on Instagram Live, and offering curbside pick-up for wine club members and customers.
“In order to stay connected with our Anaba friends and fans, we created Anaba Fridays to give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at a new wine or wine style each week,” said John Sweazey, first generation proprietor. “This virtual series will end with special private tasting benefiting our ongoing partner the Sonoma Mentoring Alliance on June 9th. We will continue to grow our virtual experiences, and we are excited to welcome guests back to the winery to enjoy some good old fashioned in-person hospitality.”
The winery will be open for visitors from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday through Sunday, by reservation only. Tastings are $70 per person for non-club customers and $55 per person for club members. Reservations are available by emailing reservations@
Curbside pick-up appointments are available during standard business hours. Guests must email info@anabawines.com to place their order in advance, or to schedule a pick-up for club shipments. The winery is located at 62 Bonneau Road, Sonoma, in the heart of the Carneros region, just 30 minutes from the Golden Gate bridge.
