Grand Prairie, Texas, Dec. 16, 2019 – For the second consecutive year, Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) has been named a nominee for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust’s (WSET) Educator of the Year Award. RNDC is the only U.S. alcohol beverage distribution company ever to be nominated for the prestigious award.
The Educator of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding contribution of an individual or company within the network of Approved Program Providers and individual WSET Certified Educators. The recipient will have demonstrated a significant contribution to the development of WSET, promoting WSET values and vision while achieving noteworthy success in their own region. The award is sponsored by Riedel.
RNDC has shown an extraordinary level of commitment to WSET education. In 2019, more than 1,500 associates have participated in the 53 WSET courses, and RNDC added 15 certified facilitators for Level 2 Award in Wines, Level 2 Award in Spirits, and Level 3 Award in Wines. This year, RNDC invested more than $430,000 helping its associates earn WSET certifications.
The winner will be announced at the WSET Awards and Graduation ceremony at the Guildhall in London in January 2020.
