Barnett Vineyards Appoints Andy Bartee National Sales Manager and Richard Russell as Western Regional Sales Manager

Family-Owned Napa Winery Expands Sales Team

(St. Helena, Calif.—August 6, 2019) – Barnett Vineyards, a family-owned Spring Mountain Napa Valley winery founded in 1983, today announced the appointments of Andy Bartee as National Sales Manager and Richard Russell as Western Regional Sales Manager. Based in Dallas, Bartee will oversee all domestic wholesale sales for Barnett Vineyards and will focus on maximizing growth potential in current markets and expanding the wholesale footprint. Russell’s territory will be California-specific with growth in the Pacific Northwest; he will be based in Napa.

Most recently, Bartee served as National Sales Ambassador for Smith Story Wine Cellars and was also the National Sales Manager for Ehlers Estate Winery and the Director of Sales for Copain Winery. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Prior to joining Barnett Vineyards, Russell held positions at Wine Warehouse, both as an On-Premise Sales Representative and as a Chain Sales Representative. He has also worked in restaurant management at Norman Rose Tavern in Napa and at the Fat Dog Gastropub in West Hollywood and has a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Miami.

In addition to sales for Barnett Vineyards, Bartee and Russell will be helping launch a new super Tuscan wine in October 2019 crafted by Barnett Vineyards Winemaker David Tate in partnership with Barnett Proprietors Hal and Fiona Barnett.

“We are extremely happy to have Andy and Richard join the Barnett Vineyards team. They’ve both proven themselves as exceptional luxury wine salespeople, and we look forward to working with them both,” said Fiona and Hal Barnett.

ABOUT BARNETT VINEYARDS

Founded in 1983 by husband and wife proprietors Hal and Fiona Barnett, Barnett Vineyards produces estate-grown, hand-farmed wines as well as single vineyard bottlings under the expert guidance of Winemaker and General Manager David Tate. From pruning to picking, all Barnett Vineyards wines from its 40 acres are tended to by hand—due to the significant grade of the property’s terraced rows—which make for stunning views of the valley floor but restricts the use of modern machinery. In addition to the estate bottlings, Barnett Vineyards also sources fruit from some of Napa and Sonoma’s best vineyards, including the Sangiacomo Vineyard in Carneros and the Tina Marie Vineyard in the Russian River. The result is limited runs of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that capture the individual grower’s sought-after terroir interpreted by Barnett Vineyard’s inimitable winemaking style.

Barnett Vineyards invites guests to experience the draw-dropping views of their patio—even during the colder months—by booking semi-private by-appointment-only tastings. Guests will enjoy tastes of Barnett Vineyards 100% estate-grown wines, along with flights of the winery’s single vineyard partnerships, and will have the opportunity to marvel at the unparalleled view, which will leave just as deep an impression as the wines.

Semi-private tours and tastings are 90 minutes in duration and are available by appointment only for $75 per person. For more information, please contact the winery at 707.963.7075 or visit www.barnettvineyards.com.
