Wine Road to Celebrate 40th Anniversary in 2016

Wine RoadWIN Members Invited to Participate

Next year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Wine Road and Wine Industry Network (WIN) has partnered with the Wine Road to offer an exclusive sponsorship opportunity that will reflect WIN members commitment to the community at large as well as support existing customers and develop new business relationships.

The Wine Road and its members have always been important supporters of local charitable organizations. Whether it’s donating wine, tours, dinners and gift items or pouring at charitable events and raising money, they’ve always been there to help local non-profits. Over past 10 years $300,000 has been collected for the Redwood Empire Food Bank and the Wine Road donates to 80–100 different non-profits annually.

Now WIN members can participate directly with the exclusive $300 WIN Member Sponsorship package (a $650 value). Package includes: Listing in the Wine Road member reference directory. Name and Logo on printed annual member newsletter mailed to all members AND distributed at annual membership meeting. Logo and link on Wine Road website throughout 2016.

The 40th Ruby Anniversary is a milestone of achievement that celebrates not only the work of the Wine Road, but also recognizes the contributions and support of the business community.

Beth Costa, Executive Director of the Wine Road says their goal is simple. “Draw people to northern Sonoma County to embrace the beauty, sample the wines and meet the cast of characters that work the farms, prepare the meals, make the wines and share their warm hospitality”
Thirty-nine years ago the Wine Road was founded with just nine wineries along the Russian River in Sonoma County. Today the Wine Road consists of 200 wineries members and 54 associate lodging members.

“We’ve grown from humble beginnings to become a world-class wine tourism destination that attracts 25,000 -30,000 consumers from across the country every year and over the years have become a vital and important trade connection for many local vendors.” says Costa.

“As we plan the 40th celebration we are, for the first time in Wine Road history, asking for support from businesses that provide products and services to our Wine Road members and community at large.”
