Presenting an exclusive lot of wines and experiences, Terrazas de los Andes was the sole Argentine winery at this world-renowned charity auction

Mendoza, Argentina, Jan. 28, 2025—Terrazas de los Andes is honored to have participated in the Naples Winter Wine Festival (NWWF) 2025, which took place on January 26th, with a winning bid of $500,000 for Lot 22. This world-renowned event brings together wine enthusiasts, philanthropists, and collectors to bid on extraordinary auction lots, with all proceeds benefiting the children of Naples through the Naples Children & Education Foundation (NCEF).

This year, Terrazas de los Andes was the sole Argentine winery represented in this prestigious event. The winery presented an exciting package of wine and travel that captures the spirit of the Andes and the distinctive quality of its wines. The highlight of the lot was an exclusive wine collection featuring:

72 personalized bottles of Terrazas de los Andes Extremo Malbec 2021 (750ml), and

12 personalized magnums of Terrazas de los Andes Extremo Malbec 2021 (1500ml).

Crafted from the El Espinillo vineyard—the highest in the Uco Valley at 5,413 feet—Terrazas de los Andes Extremo Malbec represents the pinnacle of mountain viticulture, offering a unique blend of elegance, terroir expression and complexity with its ruby-red color, bright freshness and a lifted aromatic profile reminiscent of violets, wild thyme and other native herbs that grow nearby.

In addition to the wine collection, the lot offered an unforgettable trip to Argentina. This experience included a luxurious stay in Buenos Aires, featuring private tours and exquisite dining at Michelin-starred restaurants, followed by an exclusive adventure in Mendoza. Highlights included an “Ascension Journey” to explore Terrazas de los Andes’ iconic high-altitude vineyards of Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley.

“This one-of-a-kind lot enchanted collectors, offering extraordinary wines and an unparalleled glimpse into the beauty of Argentina’s culture and wine regions,” said Lucas Löwi, CEO of Terrazas de los Andes. “We are honored to participate in the Naples Winter Wine Festival Auction, an event of excellence in the world of fine wines and philanthropy. For Terrazas de los Andes, this prestigious occasion not only highlights our dedication to supporting a worthy cause but also celebrates the official launch of our iconic Terrazas de los Andes Extremo Malbec in the USA. We are delighted to share the unique spirit and unparalleled quality of our wines with a distinguished audience, and to contribute to such a noble cause.”

About Terrazas de los Andes: Three decades ago, driven by the dream of crafting fine mountain wines, Terrazas de los Andes ventured into the high-altitude terraces of the Andes in search of a refined varietal expression that can only be achieved in Mendoza’s cool, high-altitude terraces. It is there, where the earth meets the sky, that Terrazas de los Andes was born. The journey began in Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo, planted in 1929, and has reached new heights with El Espinillo, the highest vineyard in the Uco Valley.

Established in a historic 19th-century winery, today Terrazas de los Andes farms a mosaic of estate-grown vineyards that capture the bright, fresh taste of the Andes. With respect for nature front and center, the winery’s Guardians of Mountain Life project embraces regenerative viticulture, conserves precious glacier water, and supports the local Andean community and the winery’s own employees.
