July 31, 2024 (Summerland, BC) – The Summerland Waterfront Resort Hotel is delighted to announce a public celebration of its exclusive guest perk: specially labeled house wines created in partnership with renowned winemaker Matt Dumayne of Haywire Winery. This exciting reveal marks a decade of collaboration between the hotel and the winery, bringing a new look to the private label wines—a white, red, and rosé—designed to elevate the guest experience.
Until now, this thoughtful gesture of guests receiving a bottle of BC wine was a well-kept secret, known only to those who book directly through the hotel. Now, to make the newly packaged wines even more available to guests, this summer the hotel launched a special Summer Escape Package, where guests staying for three nights in a lakefront room can receive a free bottle of the special wine, and a charcuterie plate!
With a fresh and contemporary design by artist Zach Silver of Reflect Design Co., the labels capture the essence of the Summerland Waterfront Resort Hotel experience. Silver describes the design process as a fun challenge, stating, “Our solution perfectly blends clean and contemporary modern art, with just enough hand-made touch to feel relatable. Great packaging tells an authentic story and builds intrigue for the brand it’s representing—and these house labels do just that.”
Each of the new labels features serene and inviting imagery that connects guests to the experiences they will have at the Resort: relaxing by the lake with a view of the calm waters, enjoying the expansive views of sunrise or sunset over the mountains and sky from the deck, and refreshing poolside with legs dangling in the water while sipping a cool beverage. These scenes evoke the idyllic and relaxing atmosphere that guests can expect during their stay.
This collaboration highlights the long-standing partnership with Haywire Winery, which has been a cornerstone of the hotel’s wine offerings.
