(Jan. 31, 2024; SONOMA, Calif.)—Sonoma County’s Ram’s Gate Winery has unveiled a new menu for its signature Seasonal Wine & Food Experience, highlighting the freshest winter ingredients from local farms, paired specifically to small-lot wines from the Ram’s Gate cellar. This experience is a two-hour communal, multi-course wine and food pairing curated through an intense collaboration between General Manager and Winemaker Joe Nielsen and Executive Chef Ruby Oliveros. Each dish featured on the Seasonal Wine & Food menu is meant to highlight each wine’s nuances and flavor profile.
Executive Chef Oliveros, who joined Ram’s Gate Winery in April 2022 after 15 years of working in restaurants, draws on her experience growing up in the Philippines when crafting each course and works together with Nielsen to create thoughtful pairings with unique Asian influences to elevate and complement each wine. The new menu features five courses, including a coconut ginger kohlrabi soup paired with the 2021 Chardonnay, Bucher Vineyard, and an apple smoked miso tamari duck breast paired with the 2020 Syrah, Richards Vineyard. The Seasonal Wine & Food Experience is offered Thursday through Monday, at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. for $160 per person. Reservations can be made online via Tock for groups up to six people.

In addition to the Seasonal Wine & Food Experience, Ram’s Gate Winery continues to offer an array of other tasting experiences, including its caviar tasting, Wine & Bites tasting and classic seated wine tasting.
