Napa Valley’s Original Cable Car Wine Tour Makes a Triumphant Return to Castello Di Amorosa

Napa Valley, CA — October 9, 2023 – Three years after the pandemic closures, the iconic Napa Valley Wine Trolley makes a triumphant return to Castello di Amorosa. The vintage cable car Wine Trolley resumed its daily tour service by late 2020, but a combination of labor shortages and restricted visitors to wineries kept the popular castle tour off line until this year.  “We are as delighted as our clients to be returning to the iconic Castello di Amorosa after all this time. It has always been a very popular Napa Valley stop,” said Mark Leonardi, General Manager of the Napa Valley Wine Trolley.

“The Napa Valley Wine Trolley has always been a wonderful long standing partnership with us at Castello di Amorosa and we welcome them back on their daily stop here,” added Georg Salzner, President of Castello di Amorosa.

The Napa Valley Wine Trolley, a locally owned and operated company, captures the allure of yesteryear. The Wine Trolley is a hand built replica of a San Francisco cable car with all the detail, brass fixtures and iconic bell.  With its open-air concept, passengers are treated to sweeping vistas of rolling vineyards, charming estates, and rustic landscapes, creating a visual feast that complements the wine-tasting experience.

About Castello di Amorosa

Castello di Amorosa in Italian is “The Castle of Love.” This architectural masterpiece is an authentically built, 14th century Tuscan castle winery with high walls, five defensive towers, and 30 acres of estate vineyards.  It was built over a 14-year period by Dario Sattui, a fourth-generation winemaker. After decades of studying medieval castles in Italy, Sattui commenced building in 1993. The Castello evolved to include 136,000 square feet with107 distinct rooms including rooms for winemaking and wine storage. The Castello, however, is merely a backdrop to showcase some of the Napa Valley’s best wines. The vineyards surrounding the Castello are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Primitivo, and Sangiovese grapes. Castello di Amorosa is located at 4045 Highway 29, just 5.5 miles north of St. Helena on the left. For more information, visit www.castellodiamorosa.com or 707-967-6272
