Mom Juice Launches Crowdfunding Campaign on WeFunder Due to Explosive Growth

Startup BIPOC Wine Brand Sets Out to Raise Capital to Fuel Expansion and Demand

DENVER (September 2023) – KT Winery, a BIPOC female-owned wine company announces their crowdfunding campaign on WeFunder to raise the remainder of the $2 million of their seed round by the end of this year. The company has already secured $750K from investors and are pushing towards the finish line.

KT Winery, founded by Kristin Taylor and Macie Mincey, who were disenchanted by the wine offerings on the market, had never found anything appealing to their playful natures. They saw the opportunity to capture interest from the millennial market in the wine category along with the gap of BIPOC female representation and sought to bring together the playfulness of a brand, combined with ingredient transparency without compromising good taste – all at a reasonable price point. With that in mind, they set out on a mission to shift wine culture, support innovation, and create category growth in a slow-moving industry.

Since their launch in 2021, Mom Juice quickly gained popularity from the release of their more classic wine brand Signature Collection; however, their niche trial brand quickly rose to the top.  Mom Juice, is a better-for-you wine on a mission to represent women who are underrepresented, otherwise known as moms and women of color. Mom Juice has become a unique brand and product within the wine world that shows the playfulness and stresses of motherhood while paying homage to their own mothers.

To date, the company has managed to accomplish several key milestones, including multiple product sellouts, placement in shelves of over 300+ stores, launching new varietals, several press features, and securing Momentum Beverage Distribution in Colorado and Ajax Turner in Tennessee.

“We’re revolutionizing the wine industry with creativity, transparent messaging, diversity, and modern mom needs. We’re connecting with younger generations that are seeking positive change,” says Founder, Kristin Taylor. “Several articles from The New York Times and Forbes have revealed the lack of millennial and Gen Z consumers willing to convert into wine drinkers. We’ve been able to navigate around that through providing quality taste without adding in the chemicals to keep consumers guessing.”

“We’ve proven that we can grow this company on a shoestring budget. Closing a$2M round will give us access to take on the larger purchase orders from national retailers and provide us with the marketing dollars to back it up,” says Co-Founder, Macie Mincey.

The funds from crowdfunding and angel investors will go towards launching in big box retailers, a single-serve option and hiring for sales & marketing team members to service accounts.
