Carboy Winery: A ‘Best Wine Tasting Room 2023’ by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards

July 27th – PALISADE, CO – Carboy Winery, Colorado’s largest and best known winery and soon-to-be largest Sparkling House, was named the sixth ‘Best Wine Tasting Room’ by USA TODAY. The national ranking is a tremendous honor for Carboy, helping to promote the Colorado wine industry as a whole.

“We can’t thank our friends and fans enough for voting to make this happen,” says Kevin Webber, CEO of Carboy Winery.  “It’s a privilege to be part of the Top 10 best wineries in the country and give the Colorado wine industry the recognition it deserves. I’m so proud of this company and our incredible team. An honor like this wouldn’t be possible without them.”

Carboy Winery crafts impactful wines that reveal the Grand Valley’s extraordinary terroir and unmistakable typicity. With four tasting rooms throughout Colorado, Carboy Palisade lies in the heart of the Grand Valley. Sitting at 4,742 feet above sea level, the estate vineyard and tasting room has a commanding view of Mount Garfield and the famed Book Cliff Mountains.

The USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards revealed 20 nominees for each reader’s choice category, selected by a panel of wine industry experts. According to expert Amber Gibson, “Carboy Winery’s diverse lineup of wine ranges from albariño and viognier to cabernet franc and teroldego, with some great sparkling wines too.”

The Colorado Wine Industry Development Board (CWIDB), part of the Colorado Department of Agriculture, also received recognition in the USA Today 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards, ranking the Grand Valley as the third ‘Best Wine Region’ in the country.

The Grand Valley is home to more than 35 wineries and has the highest concentration of wineries in Colorado. Warm valleys, plateaus, mountain runoff, and 300 days of sunshine allow for unique growing conditions.

Other wineries placed among USA Today’s top ten wine tasting rooms include Kiona Vineyards, Benziger Family Winery, Dablon Winery & Vineyards, Turnbull Wine Cellars, Long Shadows Vintners, Stoller Family Estate, Corner 103, and DAOU Vineyards.
