The Second Annual Half Moon Bay Wine & Jazz Festival Announces Participating Wineries, Breweries, and Food Vendors

Featuring Top Jazz Performers Paula West, the Marcus Shelby Quintet, And the John Santos Sextet

 

HALF MOON BAY, CA – APRIL 13, 2023 –  The Half Moon Bay Wine & Jazz Festival, held on Saturday, May 13 from 12-5 p.m., is excited to announce the participation 40+ wineries, local food vendors, breweries, and cideries. In addition to renowned wine and cuisine, nationally-known jazz artists Paula West, the Marcus Shelby Quintet, and the John Santos Sextet will be performing throughout the day.

An Extensive Array of California Wines

General admission ticketholders will have the opportunity to sample wines from more than 40 California winemakers from numerous regions including Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Mendocino, Lodi, Santa Cruz Mountains, Livermore, Paso Robles, and more. The VIP Experience

The VIP Lounge offers an elevated experience with preeminent wines from Vocal Vineyards, Schweiger Vineyards, and Caelesta Wines & Vineyards, plus sparkling wine from Barterra Winery. Gourmet appetizers from Chef Pablo Estrada of Fattoria e Mare will highlight the Coastside’s vast array of local organic ingredients. VIPs will also enjoy special perks such as early admission, select seating at the Main Stage, and access to the main event with all-day in and out privileges.

Cuisine From Top Coastside Restaurants & Vendors

Fresh seafood, barbeque, Mexican cuisine, and more will be available for purchase from Breakwater BBQ, HMB Wine & Cheese, Sam’s ChowderMobile, and Tacos San Buena.

Craft Beers & Ciders

A variety of craft brews, ciders, and kombucha will be on tap in the craft beer garden including offerings from Sacrilege Brewery, HMB Blue Ocean Brewing Co., Fox Tale Fermentation Project, Moss Beach Kombucha, and Santa Cruz Cider Company. Tokens will be available for purchase at the event.

Musical Performances By The Bay Area’s Leading Jazz Artists

Headlining the main stage are world-class jazz musicians Paula West, the Marcus Shelby Quintet, and the John Santos Sextet. Local jazz bands will also be celebrated with live performances along Main Street. Highly acclaimed jazz and cabaret singer Paula West is recognized for her rich contralto voice and interpretations of diverse songs ranging from jazz standards to rock and folk classics. Marcus Shelby is a bassist, composer, arranger, educator and bandleader synonymous with Bay Area jazz. Seven-time Grammy-nominated percussionist John Santos is one of the foremost exponents of Afro-Latin music in the world today.

Tickets to the Half Moon Bay Wine & Jazz Festival can be purchased at www.hmbwineandjazzfest.com. General admission tickets are $55; VIP tickets are $125. Music-only tickets are available for $25. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Cabrillo Education Foundation to support students of the arts.
