New officers for 2023.
March 1, 2023 (Paso Robles) – The national Rhone Rangers organization has announced new executive officers for 2023, including President Craig Camp of Troon Vineyard – Applegate Valley, Oregon; Vice President Larry Schaffer of Tercero Wines – Santa Barbara County; Secretary Stacy Vogel – Napa, CA; Treasurer Sandy Throop C.P.A. and Past President Tony Quealy – Thacher Winery, both of Paso Robles, California. The leadership team works in tandem with the organization’s Executive Director, Kim Murphy-Rodrigues in setting the annual goals for the wine education non-profit. In addition to the executive officers, the national Rhone Rangers Board of Directors, include Pam Bowker – Caliza Winery, Jason Haas – Tablas Creek Vineyard, and Maggie Tillman – Alta Colina, all of Paso Robles, California; Kristin Bryden – Zaca Mesa and Adrienne Rule – Rideau Vineyard, of Santa Barbara County; Hilary Cline – Cline Family Cellars, Sonoma, California; and Shannon Horton – Horton Vineyards in Virginia.
Founded in 1998, the Rhone Rangers 501c (6) non-profit is a group of 100+ wineries throughout the United States dedicated to making wines from the 22 grape varieties originally made famous in France’s Rhône Valley. With a mission to educate and promote American Rhone varietal wines, the organization holds special events and fundraisers throughout the year to raise funds for the Rhone Rangers Scholarship Fund, which benefits students studying viticulture, enology, and wine business.
