Successful Second Edition of Prowine Mumbai

November 7th – The second edition of ProWine Mumbai closed at the Jio World Convention Center to very positive result, demonstrating the growing demand in India’s burgeoning wines and spirits business. Over 150 companies showcased 1,000+ brands from 19 countries to 4,140 attendees from the industry.  ProWine Mumbai is a part of the globally renowned ProWein World and is jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf India and All Things Nice.

The visitors at ProWine Mumbai were hoteliers, prominent restaurateurs and bar owners, importers, distributors and retailers, sommeliers, chefs as well as food and beverage teams. ProWine Mumbai succeeded in providing a platform not just for business meetings but also for people in the trade to be introduced to new products that are now available in the Indian market. On showcase was a wide selection of wines by brands from India and many other countries. The French Pavilion organized by Business France as well as country pavilions from South Australia, Portugal and Chile presented their country’s wine makers and offered visitors the opportunity to meet the wine producers digitally throughout the day. In the Spirits section, visitors were able to taste gin, vodka, single malts, rum, tequila, mezcal and beer and meet the producers. Innovative cocktails and premium drinking water brands were also on display.

The 15 sessions of the ProWine Masterclasses held concurrently to the trade fair were packed on both days. The masterclass program featured prominent speakers from across the industry, a combination of veteran mentors and young entrepreneurs introducing new trends, information  and tastings covering a wide range of wine and spirit categories.

The exhibitors at ProWine Mumbai 2022 were  impressed by the scale and quality of the event, the visitor participation and good business interactions.

ProWine Mumbai Night

The ProWine Mumbai Night on the first show day brought together  stars of the wine and spirits industry, hospitality leaders, important media representatives and key exhibitors to meet, network and taste. This year, ProWine Mumbai added the prestigious wine awards – The India Wine Awards by Sonal Holland Wine Academy. The winners of the best wines, both domestic and international, available in the Indian market received their awards that night..

The night also paid tribute to some of the most respected women in the industry through a well curated panel discussion on “The Rising Role of Women in the Indian Alco-Bev Sector”’. “India Wine Insider”, a white paper about the Indian wine market authored by Sonal Holland MW, was also released at the ProWine Mumbai Night.
