Wine & Spirits 19th Annual Top 100 Tasting Returns to San Francisco on Oct 13

September 22nd – SAN FRANCISCO – Wine & Spirits Magazine’s celebrated Top 100 Tasting will return to San Francisco for its 19th edition on Thursday, October 13, offering local wine trade and enthusiasts a chance to taste an array of exceptional wines and speak directly to the producers behind their favorite bottles.

Held at City View at METREON overlooking Yerba Buena Park, the Top 100 Tasting will feature wineries from around the world whose wines have received the highest scores in Wine & Spirits’ 300+ rigorous blind tastings of 10,000+ wines throughout the year. A preview for media and members of the wine trade will be followed by a tasting event open to the public.

Champagne Bollinger, Le Macchiole, Ridge, Diamond Creek, and Zind-Humbrecht will be among the dozens of notable wineries featured at the event. The full list of this year’s Top 100 wineries can be found here.

Many of the Top 100 wineries are imported by Wine & Spirts’ Top Importers of the Year, which the magazine’s editors are pleased to announce: Dalla Terra, Empson USA, Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Kobrand, Loosen Bros., Maison Marques & Domaines USA, North Berkeley Imports, Skurnik Wines, Vintus, Wilson Daniels and Winebow. More than half of the wines submitted by these importers to the magazine’s tasting panels earned recommendations, with an average score of above 90 points, and many significantly higher.

As always, proceeds from the event will go to San Francisco Baykeeper, an advocate for clean water in the Bay and throughout the local watershed.
