The live auction will take place on Saturday, September 17, at Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards & Winery where guests will raise their paddles to make a difference in Sonoma County. The auction will be held in Chalk Hill’s dramatic covered open air event space, the former equestrian center, that overlooks the spectacular 1,300-acre property in Healdsburg, featuring 300 acres of sustainably farmed vineyards and four acres of organic culinary gardens.
This year’s SCWA Honorary Chair is the Foley Family, proprietors of Chalk Hill. “We’re thrilled to welcome SCWA guests to Chalk Hill while also celebrating the 50th anniversary of this iconic winery,” said Vintner Bill Foley. “We take pride not only in our history of winemaking and sustainability efforts but also in advocating for our local community. The funds raised during SCWA will be distributed by SCVF to numerous Sonoma County nonprofits who work tirelessly to care for those most in need.”
“We are grateful for the opportunity to host the Best. Party. Ever. for the Sonoma County Vintners Foundation at Buena Vista Winery, California and Sonoma County’s first premium winery, in support of Sonoma’s incredible weekend of community giving,” said Jean-Charles Boisset, Proprietor of Boisset Collection. “This is where it all began with Count Agoston Haraszthy. We share his vision for a world of wine full of diverse varieties from Pinot Noir to Cabernet to Furmint – a wine world that Sonoma County embraces. We invite you to join us for a spectacular evening of surprises and delights, all for a great cause inspired by the power of giving and our love for the community of Sonoma County.”
Through the generosity and support of our Sonoma County wine community, sponsor partners, donors, guests and volunteers, the Sonoma County Wine Auction has raised millions of dollars to help support more than 400 organizations since its inception and has been named one of the nation’s top charitable wine auctions by Wine Spectator. Funds raised support organizations with a focus on education & literacy, health & human services, the environment, arts & culture, and fire relief. These funds have supported more nonprofits than any other fundraising event in Sonoma County.
“We are thrilled to be a recipient of a grant from the Sonoma County Vintners Association and are so grateful for the heartfelt support they are providing to first responders and their families,” said Founder and Executive Director Susan Farren of First Responders Resiliency, Inc.
