BGPL USA Announces Newest Import Just in Time for National Rosé Day: Listel Pet Nat

With the worldwide celebration of all things rosé approaching, U.S consumers can now enjoy the most popular brand of rosé in France.

NEW YORK, NY (May 31, 2022) – BGPL USA, the importer and marketer of the renowned French wine houses Barton & Guestier, Patriarche and Listel in the U.S announced today the release of the company’s latest import and product launch in the United States: Listel PET NAT. Listel is the #1 best-selling dry Rosé in France with over 2.5 million cases sold worldwide. With the second Saturday of June recognized as National Rosé Day, BGPL USA is kicking off the start to rosé season with the launch of Listel PET NAT. Consumers can find the wine available now in 250+ stores nationwide, with a suggested retail price of $17.99.

PET NAT is short for ‘pétillant naturel’ which translates to ‘naturally sparkling’ in French. A rich blend of Semillon and Carignan from Southern France, Listel PET NAT is a refreshing version of the ancestral method well-loved by consumers; and without the addition of sugar, sulfite or conservatives, it is a healthier option for wine consumers looking to embrace the “Better For You” trend in time for summer and beyond. The wine is also low in alcohol by volume at 9.5% and vegan-friendly.

Listel PET NAT tasting notes include a bright and vivid rosé color offered in a well-balanced and fleshy wine. The wine has raspberry and citrus aromas on the nose, leading to more fruity flavors on the palate with a refreshing, dry, and sparkling finish. Listel PET NAT is obtained by the partial fermentation of fresh grape musts. The fermentation is stopped by chilling the vat and bottling is followed by pasteurization to stabilize the wine.

The bottle displays a number of unique elements designed to represent the incomparable vineyards of Listel, a house of more than a century of history. The wine is bottled in a clear tint bottle to highlight the elegant rosé shade of the wine and features a pink crown cap and vertical stripe, paying homage to the spirit of hand-made and crafted sparkling drinks. Listel PET NAT’s eye-catching label features elegant gold and copper embossed lettering and light roseaux grass in the background to represent the land of Listel with its sunny and windy Mediterranean climate. Listel PET NAT is best served between 42°F to 46°F (6°C to 8°C).

“Listel PET NAT is a reassurance to consumers of the quality of our wines and a celebration of its South of France origin,” says Véronique Florentin, Listel winemaker. Véronique is one of the many trailblazing female winemakers of BGPL USA leading the wine industry forward. “Listel has a strength thanks to its technical equipment and very modern cellars and we are thrilled to bring the newest addition of the Listel portfolio to U.S consumers who appreciate the growing trend and new wave style that PET NAT offers.”

Listel’s history is unique, dating back to the 19th century when the brand was originally known as “Les Salins du Midi,” a salt-producing company and owners of vast sandy areas throughout the regions of Camargue and Sète. Seeking to extend the use of their lands beyond salt production, and after multiple trials of growing vines in sand and salt, the company finally saw success. The first vines were planted in the parcel called “Isles de Stel,” giving birth to the name Listel.

As consumers gravitate towards more affordable forms of fizz, as seen with the 13% sales increase in the sparkling wine category amongst American drinkers over the past two years, according to off-premise sales data from Nielsen, PET NAT will continue to play a pivotal role in the category appeal. The launch of Listel PET NAT in the U.S will provide consumers with a healthier, cost-effective, and quality dry Rosé wine ahead of the summer. Consumers can find the wine available now at select retailers including Total Wine & More, Trader Joe’s, and more through https://bgpl-usa.com/store-locator
