Yamhill-Carlton AVA to Host Spring Tasting

The celebrated Willamette Valley wine region will showcase wines from more than forty wineries at the walk-around event on Saturday, April 23

Portland, Oregon (March 2, 2022) — Members of the Yamhill-Carlton winegrowing region will host their Annual Spring Tasting at Abbey Road Farm on Saturday, April 23, 2022, returning after a two-year hiatus. Tickets are now available for purchase on Yamhill-Carlton’s website.

More than forty member wineries from the renown Yamhill-Carlton AVA will pour their wines at this public event, offering a lighthearted view into one of the Willamette Valley’s most down-to-earth collectives of winegrowers and winemakers. 

Participating wineries like Soter Vineyards, Gran Moraine and Elk Cove Vineyards will showcase the region’s extraordinary Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, sparkling wine and more, poured alongside local fare from six of the top chefs and restaurants in the Willamette Valley. Yamhill-Carlton wines will also be available for purchase.

The event will have four separate sessions in the morning and afternoon, allowing ample room for guests. Access to the event is offered at both the Regular and VIP Admission levels. Early entry VIP sessions provide first access to wines, passed hors d’oeuvres from Abbey Road Farm’s Chef and Innkeeper Will Preisch, a complimentary Riedel Pinot Noir glass, and a special library pour. Regular Admission provides access to the walk-around tasting and small bites.

Tickets are on sale now. Two VIP sessions ($100 per person) are offered from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm and two Regular Admission ($60) sessions are offered from 11 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm. Tickets are limited and expected to go quickly.

Abbey Road Farm is located at 10280 NE Oak Springs Farm Road, Carlton, OR 97111 and ample parking is available onsite. VIP ticket holders enjoy priority parking next to the winery and regular ticket holders need only take a short walk from the main lot.
