Sebastopol, CA, November 3, 2021 – Dutton Estate Winery will host its first “Barrel to Bottle Bash” on Saturday, December 4th, from 2 pm-4:30 pm. Guests will taste barrel to bottle flights of select single-vineyard wines, experiencing the life cycle of wine from a premier producer of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah in the Russian River Valley. The event will also be an exercise in a return to events after an eighteen-month pause.
The spacious barrel room and crush pad at the Sebastopol winery will hold four stations, each featuring a single-vineyard wine flight. Each flight includes a barrel sample, a current release, and a library vintage, which allows guests to sample the evolution of a particular Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, or Syrah throughout the years. Guests will also appreciate the different oak programs used at the winery that complement each wine.
Consulting Winemaker Bobby Donnell says, “Tasting wine from a neutral barrel versus a new barrel gives you an idea of the oak impact on our Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays.
Kylie Dutton and German Zavala from the winemaking team will be present at the event along with Donnell. Also present and hosting will be Joe and Tracy Dutton and the entire hospitality team.
Since Joe and Tracy Dutton founded the winery in 1995, the Dutton name is recognized as a pioneer of Russian River Valley wine growing and winemaking. This event will showcase the past, present, and future endeavors of the family-operated winery and sixth-generation Sonoma County farmers. This includes how events are designed and managed moving forward into 2022. Dutton Estate Winery is well-positioned to pivot future events as needed for optimal guest experience using ample space in the barrel room, winemaking facility, and estate garden.
Tickets are $55 per guest and are available for purchase online. Price includes three wines per station and various pre-portioned party bites throughout the event. Reservations and information available at duttonestate.com.
